SORS Participates in Public Safety Drill at Seton Hall

On Tuesday, May 24, the South Orange Rescue Squad participated in a major public safety drill conducted at Seton Hall University. Along with the South Orange Police Department and Fire Department and several other local agencies, the Rescue Squad practiced a response to a report of an active shooter in one of the dormitory buildings. Following National Incident Command System protocols, twelve EMT members using all three of the squads ambulances triaged, treated, staged, and transported eleven patients. This drill joins a list of exercises that SORS has participated in in the last two years at Seton Hall, Newark Penn Station, and Newark Airport.
